If rain on your wedding day is a sign of good luck, then Lindsey and Rafael should play the lotto every time! While the rain in central Florida can be quite annoying typically, this rain seemed to be the most considerate rain I’ve ever seen! No rain during the ceremony and then no rain during dinner. Can you believe that? Although we had to adjust some of our plans due to the weather, the rain never took away from the beauty and joy that filled every moment
Lindsey and Rafael’s wedding day at The Pinery in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida!
One of the many reasons I absolutely love photographing weddings at The Pinery is that it's beautiful in every season and every weather condition. The venue offers a stunning covered ceremony space that allows couples to enjoy the natural beauty of the property while staying protected from Florida's unpredictable weather. Surrounded by gorgeous pine trees and lush greenery, the entire venue feels like a peaceful forest retreat tucked away from the world!
Lindsey looked absolutely stunning in her wedding dress. From the moment she stepped into it, she radiated excitement, confidence, and happiness. Before the ceremony, Lindsey shared two incredibly emotional first looks. The first was with her son, a moment filled with so much love and a few happy tears. The second was with her dad, whose reaction to seeing his daughter as a bride was so sweet. These moments even get me chocked up behind the camera!
Lindsey and Rafael's love story is one that literally feels straight out of a movie! Lindsey is a flight attendant, and Rafael is a pilot. Their paths crossed through their careers in aviation, and what started as a chance connection eventually grew into a beautiful relationship that led them to this beautiful day.
While Rafael's daughter was unfortunately unable to attend the wedding, her presence was certainly felt. Rafael was surrounded by the love and support of his family, including his mother, who had the brightest smile throughout the day!
Adding to the romantic atmosphere was an incredibly talented violinist, Anthology Entertainment (@AnthologyEntertainment), whose music created the perfect soundtrack for the ceremony and celebration. The live violin performance paired beautifully with the sound of rain falling around the venue, creating a such magical experience for everyone present.
One of the sweetest surprises of the day came when the rain paused just long enough for Lindsey and Rafael to enjoy the outdoor reception they had envisioned. Guests gathered beneath a canopy of twinkling lights, seated together at a beautiful long family-style table nestled among the trees. The warm glow of the lights, the forest-like surroundings, and the laughter shared at the table created an atmosphere that felt both intimate and unforgettable.
As the evening continued, the Florida rain made its return, signaling the perfect time to move the celebration into The Pinery's beautiful covered space. There, guests enjoyed heartfelt parent dances, delicious cake, and a cozy coffee bar while staying warm and dry. My go to order of an iced lavender latte was absolutely delicious! It was a wonderful reminder of why The Pinery is such an incredible venue! The boho lanterns are perfect for this space! Having a Plan B option with outdoor wedding in central Florida is imperative! The covered canopy allows the celebration to continue seamlessly no matter what the weather decides to do.
The entire day was flawlessly coordinated by Xiomara, who is one of the sweetest and most thorough coordinators I've had the pleasure of working with! Her attention to detail, calm presence, knowledge of the venue and genuine care for Lindsey and Rafael made the day run effortlessly despite the weather challenges. I absolutely loved working alongside her and her team!

To end the evening, Lindsey and Rafael shared one final unforgettable moment as their family and friends lined up to send them off through a tunnel of bubbles. This is such a fun idea for a grand exit! Surrounded by cheers, laughter, and so many hugs from their family and friends, Lindsey and Rafael made their way into married life together! It was the perfect ending to a day that proved rain can make a wedding even more beautiful.
