Over the last couple years, I've had the honor to photograph many weddings, as the main photographer and as a second (assisting the main photographer) in the Central Florida areas. 2 of the most unique Orlando wedding venues I've been to are the Acre and 1010 West. If you're looking for unique venues that can accommodate the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all in one place, you've got to add these venues to your tour list.
Venue 1: The Acre - 4421 Edgewater Dr., Orlando, Florida 32804
This venue is so beautiful! Haley and Preston's wedding took place in December so the weather was also perfect with a stunning sunset. This was my first visit to The Acre and hopefully not my last :) This venue can host a variety of parties other than weddings and can accommodate small and large gatherings. The minimum guest count is 50 and the max is 250, but that'll get tight. One of my favorite features of this venue is that there is a space for the bridal suite AND a large room for the grooms and groomsmen. Many locations offer a bridal suite, but a place that includes both is awesome! The grooms area is a nice and spacious little building. There are mirrors for getting ready, bathrooms and a fridge to keep drinks cool while the groomsmen are all getting ready. There's also space behind it for grooms photos. This building is far enough from the bridal suite so the couple won't see each other.
The bridal suite is also a spacious area to get ready. There's a large mirror in the room and a window that overlooks one of the ceremony locations. There were other furniture in the room like benches and sofa. This area was above the catering area. The entire venue is adaptable for your event.
Venue 2: 1010 West - 1010 West Church St., Orlando, Florida 32805
This venue was so cool! It was built in an old airplane hanger! From the outside, it doesn't look like much and can be overlooked so easily. Once you go inside you realize how much space is inside. The space can be transformed into whatever you need. It was amazing to see the ceremony turned into a massive reception space during cocktail hour.
The decor of the wedding was Great Gatsby/Roaring 20s/Speakeasy theme and it fits perfectly in this space. The outside area is the same storefront that was built to hide the speakeasy on the inside. I love that they still have that! Elizabeth and Cameron did such an awesome job on the decorations! Lots of little details and personalizations that was fun to notice at every turn. This One of my favorite wedding trends is including signature drinks for your guests to enjoy. Doesn't have to be fancy either! Whatever is your go to drink at the bar would be perfect!
